Hesitation under hard exceleration
Hey guys ......................
Most of you know what mods I have on my engine . Non of the mods however have taken care of this problem .
If I accelerate hard enough to take the tach past 3000 rpms quickly ( as it is not noticable on slower acceleration ) In SECOND GEAR ONLY at almost precisely 3000 rpms for about 1 second it will hesitate , drop down to about 2900+ rpms and then continue to accelerate to 4000 rpms before shifting in to 3rd .
I thought it might be the "knock sensor" as I believe that during a predetination condition it retaards the spark a bit , but I run only 93 octane and have NEVER heard this engine "ping" whatsoever .
Any help is appreciated .
I am also waiting on a new 4 bank Diablo chip , but I am not sure this is going to help .
