Rain gutter molding ???
Help..........
Hi everyone.
My name is Marc, i live in holland.
I'm having trouble finding a "rain gutter molding" for my F100
from 1955.
I called a few manufacturers in Amerika ( incl. a few "well known" in California )
but none of them could help me with a new set of "rain gutter molding". ( they told me, there was no manufacturer for it ! )
Is it really that hard to find them or does anyone of you know a adress were i can get them.
Maybe anyone knows a alternitive for the raingutter ??
From a entirly different car that will fit (with a bit of work perhaps).
The original gutter is in good shape ( part of the Cab. ), and i
would sure like to get my hands of that nice and shiny piece of
raingutter !!
Greetings:
Marc
Rod and Custom Magazine ran an article in late 2002, early 2003 about chrome moulding that is adhesive backed, bendable, cuttable and sticks on to the car. In the article they used this stuff to reproduce the chrome trim on a 37 Ford car and also the windshield moulding on a 32 Ford Coupe. This stuff comes in rolls and is available in different widths. They mentioned that it was a good option if factory trim is not available. I will look through my magazine collection to see if I can find that atricle and give you more information. Travis
Travis, ..............that would be great !!!!!
Our support in Holland is very limited, in those kind of "things".
If you could look it up for me, who's the manufacturer, or the supplier of that chrome molding..........
Thanks for your reply,
Marc

I found that information in the December 2002 issue of Rod & Custom. I also looked up the websight www.ptwoody.com and they had the story behind the development and use of Flex Chrome. From what I've seen this product looks perfect for your situation. The company is Auto-Tech Plastics/PT Woody Inc. located at Mt. Clemens MI. 800/447-8410 websight www.ptwoody.com
Hope this helps Travis

Also, if you want the plastic chrome, JC Whitney catalog sells it in a roll. Good luck, John
