im having problems with my breaks in my truck, and i cant figure out what the problm is. a few months ago, i went to stand on the brakes to stop guickly, and something gae in the pedal. since then, i hae had very minimal brakes. i put a new master cylinder on today and it still does the same thing for the most part. now, the brake pedal wil go almost to the floor, then seem to catch near the bottom. when the truck is shut off, i can pump up the breaks and get some pressure, but i can still push to the floor. any ideas would be appreaciated,
check to see if you blew any lines in the front and in tthe back check the wheel cylinders if they blew, when you installed the master cylinder did you bench bleed it before you put it on? Did you bleed all brake lines front and back? Please don't get offended by the questions. It's hard to tell how mechanicaly inclined someone is.
o i know, i completely understand. i bench bled the cylinder, and put it on, now im in the process of bleeding the brakes out. i've had people tell me different things on this. when i crack the bleeder, i only get a trickle, i'm under the impression that i should get a steady flow, im told that it sounds like i have alotta air in the lines. im not trying to go to a garage and pay out the wazoo for a break job that i'm able to do myself
