Oil Filter Removal Problem
Truck has 30K on it, went to change the oil. Drained the oil, then put a whole in the filter to drain it. Once drained I couldn't get it off. It's a K&N filter, tried using a 1 inch wrench, couldn't move it. Get desperate tried an impact wrench still didn't move. Then tried a strap wrench and the can jsut twisted. Gave up and had it towed. I've changed the 5 other times never had a problem. This was the first time I tried outdoors with a cold engine when it was less then 30 degrees. Could the temperature becausing my problem, or did I do something stupid like forget to oild the gasket last change.
