Lincoln Mark VII
anyone who has a lincoln Mark VII or a fox body thunderbird beware of the ignition switch inside the column (not the key switch, but the one the wiring harness plugs into) my blower motor, turn signals, and hydraboost brakes stopped working and after rippin the column apart it revealed that the ignition switch had gotten hot and started to melt the plug for the harness. that woulda been nice if it woulda caught the column on fire

87MARKVIILSC: Ther was a recall on the mk & on the birds in the
mid to late 80's for this exact reason & i belive that the taurus was affected also these are the type of fires that usaly do not
much of the vehicle. Sorry to hear that happend to you.
