Water Pump?
I think my water pump is going in my 89 f150 w/300 I6. The temp gauge acts funny, it stops blowing hot air and sometimes it leaks fluid from somewhere,i cant really see where. It doesnt leak all the fluid out and sometimes it acts ok and doesnt act strange at all. Does this sound like the water pump? i figured it was. Is it hard to do yourself? Its winter here so i will probably have it done. Around how much do you think it would run?

Take the serp. belt off and see if you feel any play in the bearings. I had one go out on my I-6. It sounded like a rod was ready to let go but it was just a $25 water pump. Make sure you get the right year with reverse rotation.
