Trim question

I'm working on a '69 Ranger, the lower trim molding behind the doors on either side has no retaining clips and look like there never were any, this is the little curved piece on the bottom. Mine were secured with screws. Is that right? Or were they supposed to be glued on?

Greg,
I've got a '70 Sport Custom and if you are talking about the short curved moldings that go on the back corner of the cab, then yes, they are held in place by two screws.

I suppose I am lucky in some ways....my old 71 custom has no chrome except the door handles and the gas cap....does chrome rails help the appearance any in your opinion?

In my opinion it does nothing for the truck, but then again I detest anything shiny.

my 71 explorer parts truck has clips.

It has clips even at the cab corners? Are you guys talking about the rocker panel moldings or the upper moldings? My upper moldings are all held on by clips. The rocker panel moldings are also held on by clips, EXCEPT the cab corner ones, which are held on by the two screws.
