Talking Pulled out a Semi today

I was leaving work today (to shovel snow at home) when I noticed in the parking lot next to us a light semi that just couldn't get any traction. The semi was on a slight grade, about 2-3% and he could only move it about a foot or two at a time. I drove over to him and asked the guy if he wanted me to try and get him going. He was a younger guy and a little bit nervous. He wanted to try it one more time on his own. That failed so I took my jerk strap and put it on his tow hook on the front.

About 3 tugs and out she came He was very relieved and offered to buy me lunch. I told him the bragging rights were enough for me

The best part was that some of the people in the hotel were watching and they came out to say that they had never seen anything like it.

Made my day

Kick A**

I know what it was like today. I drive a 30ft delivery truck all day and it was a pain all day. Just the slightest incline you would spin out. To make matters worst you couldnt even see the parking lots to turn in to.

I'm humbled. All I pulled out was a Mercury Marqis and two Honda's. The two Honda's were non-English speakers acted like it was my pleasure to pull them from the ditch and said nothing. The Marqis guy offered me $10.00, which I refused of course.

I'm happy to not get stuck in my truck!

Put about 400 lbs. of sand back there today though, and I think I'll be getting along MUCH better. Still wouldn't mind having a lifted F250 though.

I filled up the bed of my truck with the snow from the driveway. Now I don't have anytraction problems and I don't have to clean out the bed, just wait for the weather to get nice.

That's a great idea, it crossed my mind but I decided I'd just go ahead and make me up some sandbags, figuring they'd be easier to put in every time I needed them, especially since when I need them there may not be any snow. I may go out and pile some snow in just for good measure though, I only have about 350 lbs. of sand back there.

I was scraping snow the other day with my four wheeler (with attached blade) and saw a guy walking towards me with his hands in his pockets, head down (I knew what that meant). I pulled out his FORD, with my Honda. I couldn't blame him. The city came through and plowed around him. He had just a two wheel drive with no weight, I pulled him right out. About that time another guy from the other end of the block came up and asked for the same. Same situation, but a Nissan pickup instead. I have the ITP Blackwater tires on my four wheeler, with full time 4wd, so it chews through the snow, and with my fat a.. on it, there's plenty of weight for traction.
