Heater Core Replacement

I'm getting ready to put a new heater core in my 89 Ranger, just wondering how long it takes to change out and if its a pain in the rear.

Hello Ryan23 and welcome to the FTE. I know my old 88 Ranger was super easy to do. Take you 15 minutes if your hoses are ok.

Thanks Dan, I need to go under the glovebox is that correct or can I go under the hood.

You will go under the glove box and remove two screws I think. That is the cover for it and the core will slide right out. Be careful when you install it so that you don't damage the intake/outlet. A core is a fragile thing and pushing hard on it can cause it to fail later on.
