temp gauge
I got this problem and it's kinda freaking me out.
its an 86 f250 6.9, just an awesome truck,at 420,000 miles it gave up.so I put a new 6.9 in and it runs great except the oil cooler leaking and the temp gauge keeps giving inaccurate readings. so 1st I checked the cooling system blah blah blah,then checked the actual engine temp and when the gauge was in the middle running at 200 deg.
for a couple of weeks it was doing good staying in the middle,until I stoped at a light and the gauge went from middle to high and back 2 times so I know the engines temp is fine it's the guage.but with the old engine it worked fine.
