Well from what I have been reading and seeing in pics this shouldn't be bad at all. Now I just need to find an axle.

I have one question. Since my truck has no lift on it I will need at least a 4 inch lift kit of some sort?

Yes, 4" coils you will need, or you can drop your upper coil mounts for a homemade lift.

alright. I'm also interested in this, if I manage to find an axle, what else is needed? 6" coils, new shocks....is that it? It sounds like not alot of stuff there. Is it worth it to do if it's a daily driver? I mean it sounds like the best setup for offroad, and for me I'm alittle of both. So if you get 6" lift springs does that mean that you have 6" or lift or more?

Besides the axle what else is needed to swap in? Just shockmounts right on top of the axle?
I'm confused.....still learning.

Mine is a daily driver. It drives no worse than an old 79 F-150. For mine I went the full route and put in the drop brackets for the radius arms, new degreed "C" bushings an completely rebuilt the front end. Since I was at it, I swapped in 4.56 gears front and back. I got the adjustable track bar from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard and custom made my own lowered bracket at the frame. For steering I currently have the stock 72's steering arm with my stock 95 drag link, I did have to extend my drag link some, but I am also not using a dropped pitman arm (hence the longer adjustable track bar). I went with a D44 from a 72 F-100. I also converted it to disk brakes, get the 78-79 as these are already disk brake and one less headache to deal with.

Other than that, you will need the longer coils (I got the 79 coils and kept the stock 95 upper coil buckets), shocks and don't forget the longer brake lines (I went with the 72 style extended brake line that uses 1 longer line in the front and splits to each side instead of the 95 style that uses 2 hoses in the wheel wells. I just feel it is a little more protected being behind my skid plate instead of being exposed and able to get ripped off by crap flinging out of my tires).

Good luck!!
