Forgive me because I *really* don't know a whole lot about manual transmissions.
Do you need to put in transmission coolers in manuals? I know its basically a "have-to" in automatics, but do we have to with manual transmissions? I don't know how hot it is in there...or if factory was good enough, or what.
There's no pump to circulate the fluid, soa cooler wouldn't do any good even if you could rig one up. The exception to thid is the ZF 6 speed in the current Super Duty series. It has an integral pump and uses a cooler.
Most manual trannies do not produce enough heat to create problems. Just use good gear lube and change regularly.
Automatics have lots of parts inside that slip and slide which generates a lot of heat. A manual just has gears meshing which generates only a little heat.
