So.... I get my truck back from the garage (after they fix the coolant leak, see post above) and it has a crappy hose clamp on it and green anti-freeze in the overflow. I can live with the hose clamp, but I'm not sure what I should do about the anti-freeze. Is it a big deal?
First, Did it have the 'Gold' antifreeze when you took it in? If so, I'd call and make sure that they didn't just top it off with the 'Green' stuff. According to Ford, 'Gold' and 'Green' do not mix.
If you had the 'Gold' to begin with, I'd make them put the 'Gold' back in it. The Gold antifreeze is Fords long life antifreeze and is suppose to be good for 5yr/100K miles.
Just my thoughts....

DaleL, just a note, if you have any animals around, be careful on the anti-freeze lingering around, if it is that. Thay love the taste and it kills them.
Either wash it away or absorb it up. They'll love you in the end!

Mike:
First thing I did when I moved the truck was wash all the coolant away for that very reason! You are right they do like that stuff...unfortunately. Thanks.
