Getting frame across border

Anyone else have trouble getting a vehicle or otherwise across the Canada/US border? I have been looking at a custom tube frame chassis from Fatman Fab in NC. Apparently there is no way I can import a custom chassis into Canada unless it is over 15 years old. This includes all kit cars and bikes. What gives? Anyone have any idea how I can pull this off?

Can you take it across as a "part?" People take parts across the border all the time, but I've never heard of the problem you are having.

Good idea!! Tell the fabricaters to leave it in pices then have someone weld it together for you once you get it across.
