I must admit after taking delivery of my new 250/v-10 Iam kinda freaking out about this sparkplug blowout thing....Does anyone know if its still an issue? iam gunna go completely nuts if my new Ford sends a plug thru the hood! Should I check them? I only have 311 miles on the truck so far. Iam also considering running mobil 0-20 any comments would be greatly appriciated.

To tell you the truth, this site is very large and gets many posts/replies on this. You see this and, yes, it is bad, but not common.
I have a '99, which is supposed to be notorious for this, but not a problem here. I have a cousin and several friends with V10's - no problems. I would not worry about it if I were you.
I am not saying it is not a concern, just not that big of one.
As far as what type/brand/vis oil to use - just stick with the book for your new truck would be my advice.
It seems like when I researched this on the forums here, the issue of the plugs boiled down to having the right plugs, the right thread sealer (or thread lube) and the right amount of torque. Since the rear plugs seems to be a pain to change, this may be a job for the dealer or a good ford mechanic.
