Im not sure what the EGR control valve sensor is. There is a sensor on the EGR Valve that relays to the computer what position the EGR valve is in. That may be your problem. The 31, 32, 33 codes all work with the EGR system of which there are several components. Of those several components, one faulty one can lead to a good one with a bad reading. There are relatively simple electrical and mechanical checks that you can do to find the troubled part. They may take a little while but the system is not that complicated. I know that the Haynes manual has pretty good step by step instructions on diagnosing which part is malfunctioning. Post again if you have any other problems.
Good Luck.
If you don't have a Haynes manual, I would get one. It has all the tests and checks to perform to narrow down your problem. I'd find the EVR solonoid (I'm not sure where it is on the big six) and double check that the connector is tight and has a good connection. Then check to see if either wire is shorting to ground, and then make sure both have good continuity to the computer. You will need the wiring diagrams from the Haynes to help figure out where the wires connect to the computer. Hope this gets you started.
thanks i do have a haynes manual, but it runs from 80-90, i had the version 87-96, which had more detail about my particular truck, im assuming, not to be an ***, but the only electrical part in the fuel system is the egr pressure sensor, the rest is vacuum, so im assuming that has to be it, but i will look into other sources for the problem, thanks, im eating way too much gas, and it turned out to be a surprise that a fuel problem code came up...lol
I'm a little confused with the last post...EGR doesn't have anything to do with the fuel system. My Haynes is for '80-'96...weird. Hope you get this thing tracked down.
