I used the same paint on my dash pad and panels a couple of weeks ago. I didn't primer. Dupli color offers some "prep" stuff to make it stick better, but I couldn't find any around here.
My interior turned out great, but I'm waiting to see how it looks a year from now.
One thing, the paint seems to be really thin and had a tendency to run. Stay back a foot or so and just give it thin coats....It seems to dry to the touch in just a few minutes and I recoated in about 10 minutes. I gave mine about 4 coats.
So far, so good......hope yours turns out well....and looks good for a long time.

Thanks alot victorcharlie I did part of the vinyl parts today and i had awsome success. But in the question i had earlyer i forgot to ask if it would work on plastic with no primer also. For my air vents and speaker covers i used the adhesion promoter, and covered it with regular silver auto paint and it turned out fine. So just wondering:

1. will the vinyl paint work on plastic, and not endup crapy after a short time
2. if it wont work directly on the plastic, would it work ontop of an adhesion promoter coat

I used it on my door panels, arm rest, kick panels, dash pad, and windshield trim......Mine looked pretty bad....so I felt like I couldn't make them any worse, just better. So far, so good.....Maybe someone else with experience with the product will pipe in if we keep kicking it up.......Again....made a huge difference if it will last for awhile.....
