Driver's Window Limit Switch
My wife drove my truck (2001 F250 CC XLT) the other day and noticed something interesting...
When you select "Auto Down" on the driver's window it goes down fine, but after it bottoms out in the door you can hear the motor still trying to run. This happens for about 5 seconds and then it quits.
It has to be really quiet to hear it, like when you are sitting in the driveway without the engine running... It does it every time. Anyone else?? Does Mr. Ford need to fix this, or is this common?

Sounds like my Avenger for the first year I had it. Had the dealer check it out & they found a problem with the motor. It was overheating (the tech burned his hand on it), then would stop working momentarily until it cooled off. They replaced the motor & switches. It could have caused a fire.
