Steering Stabilizer?
After taking a look at the steering, I COULDN'T FIND the steering stabilizer. Did Ford stop putting them on the 2002s?
I'm also interested in opinions about who makes the best steering stabilizer.
Thanks!
Ford only puts the stabilizer on trucks with the "off-road" package.
The best direct replacement stabilizer in my opinion is made by Fox, but it's about $140.
IMHO, I would use Rancho....cost.... $112.00 ( because you have to order the mounting kit as well)
slammer
As far as the best brand to go with.. matter of opinion, rancho, skyjacker, etc are all good names. I have a double skyjacker that I paid $98 bucks for through National tire and wheel, it comes with the brackets. However, I would not recomend a double for stock tires, as far as Im concerned, it's overkill on my truck with 35's, the wheel does not return to center without help.

Any harshness in the road during turns (above 20 or so mph) really upset the steering wheel.

That really bums me out... I've always had one on my trucks - will have to retrofit one.

Sounds great - Thanks for all of your help!
