Has anyone tried one of these lift kits or know someone who has? Rubicon has a great rep with my jeeper buddies.I'm interested in the 6.5" kit. Any info would be appeciated.
I found some details about this new kit and thought I would share. How does 10" front travel,12"rear travel sound? Not bad to me. The 6.5" kit uses a HD 2.5" front hanger w/4" progressive leafs in front and a block w/4" springs in rear. They also use a new spring mount that flips the fr. U-bolts for clearance and they have a kit to move the stabilizer above the axle and out of the way. The kit also includes front&rear brake lines and a extended length t-bar w/new upper & lower mounts. Shocks tuned specifically for kit are extra. The price at rubicon express is $1760,tuned shocks extra.I am going to wait for price info on the Z-link from skyjacker but I think it will be EXPENSIVE.
I've only seen pics of the install of the Rubicon and they definitely have a different setup than anyone else with using only a few number of leafs per pack and what they do with the trac bar. I'd be interested to see how the lift performs myself and the durability of it.
I think I remember reading that the Skyjacker Z-link is going to be around $3500.00 but don't quote me on that one.
And from what I've read a true 4-link (like the one being built by One Up Offroad) would perform better than a Z-link.
Thanks for the info DC. If anybody else knows of any other lift kits out there that offer more travel and flex than the than the standard superlift, skyjacker, fabtech type stuff post it because that is what I'm looking for. Thanks
Donahoe Racing also has a lifetime guarentee..............I've seen their banner across the top of the site a few times lately, so I'm guessing that they sponsor the site again.....
Didn't Revtek just come out with a new 8" lift for SD's? I think it came with a transfer case indexing ring (and new funky skidplate) to ease the driveline angles. Anyone else heard or seen it, cause I can't remember where I did!

Yes they did come out with a 8" with a reindexing ring for the t-case and a new crossmember so that you have clearance of the front shaft since it is rotated downward. That's not necessary with a 8" lift though.
