It worked for me. I still had the ad at home, went and grabbed two sets of bulbs, asked the cashier if they match other store ads.
She said whos. I said pep boys. She said yeah. She rang em up, 37 something and I guess she wasn't expecting to see them that much cheaper so she went and asked a manager, and he said I could only have one set at that price, 11.88, which was what the ad said. 16.88 sale price, minus 6.00 rebate = 11.88. I felt like I was pulling some sort of scam. It felt good.
Went to my local Walmart, and asked at the courtesy desk, at first the manager didn't want to honor it because it wasn't the original ad, but then she gave in ... I hurried to the bulb section and ... I guess you guys beat me to it ... there were no bulbs in stock. Just my luck. So I'm gonna try Kragen tonight. Thanx again.
Wally first said ‘no way’ but then let me have it for the $16.88. Would not allow for the $6 rebate. Still a good deal and $6 didn’t seem worth a store fight. Thanks agian for the tip.
But what does it do to the approching cars, my headlights are allready at thier eye level. When I'm sitting accross an intersection from a car with blue running lights on a clear street light bright night, pointing in my eyes, thoughts that are not too kind come to mind and I must remind myself that the 308 in the gun rack is for other preditors!
Went to Pep Boys they honored the coupon (printed it in color so it looked legit ) and they gave my two sets of lights for around 36 bux (including tax) ... Thanks again Oppy.
