We always discuss mileage here and in what configurations our trucks are to produce these figures.
Today I got back from a one week trip. Real mileage (measured at fill-up) for hauling my 2000lb boat over two mountain ranges (120 miles one way) came to 13.7 mpg at 62-64 mph. Just thought I'd send the report
yea, thats pretty darn good fer a v10. my 5.4 just got 14.2 mpg the last tank. i was. and that was just empty. i cant complain though cus shes doin alot better then when i first got her.
No camper loaded for this trip. With the camper on it's always around 10.5 mpg.
Caught about 75 nice rainbow trout on the trip (avg-13-17 inches) and one German Brown. We "catch and release" all but two of them. Too bad the V10 doesn't run on trout
Lets see..... 13.7miles per us gallon = 15.4 miles per imp gallon.
Empty pulling a boat:-X23 I like the sound of that. How many miles on your truck? I managed a best of 10.4 mpusg so far mt. But I.ve got 4800 miles on my 2wd dually. Milage is second to fun factor for me. but people always ask.
And who cares if the fish don't bite. A bad day fishin is better than a good days work

Oh now don't go getting all IMPERIAL on me. There's already enough confusion in my life already. The truck has 15,700 miles (that's NOT kilometers ), to answer 'yer kwestion'eh .
I'm sure your dually has 4.33's in the rear, and the extra set of wheels will definitely pull down the mileage a tad.
Imperial or not, your fishin' is definitely the best up there
Nope! 3:73's!! I also don't haul in OD either. I cooked an AOD in a 460 powerd truck several years ago:-staun Now I'm a bit gun shy. The dealer said they had never seen a torque converter that colour blue except behind a stinker. That truck has 4:10s and even in OD 65 or 70 was a stretch.
Good day EH!
