Tonneau cover

I am thinking of buying (going to) buy a tonneau cover for my 2000 F-150 super-cab and I am thinking of removing the bed liner
and having te bed sprayed with that black stuff, I have never liked box liners, I have always felt that the box is prone to rust under them. is this a wise move to loose my box liner.

Uhoh here we go with the box liner vs. Rhinoliner discussion again
I still like plastic box liners as they prevent dents in the box better, stand up to any sort of chemicals, can be removed it you change your mind and I think they are easier to keep clean.
A box liner shouldn't cause the box to rust unless you have bare metal under it. Water will drain from under a box liner the same as it would if you didnt have a liner. If you have something poke or wear through a sprayed in liner it can trap water inside where it cant drain out.
Ok, that's my $.02 worth.
I'm sure we'll get more (different) opinions

If you are going for the hard cap tonneau then I would keep your liner as/is. I have a hard cap tonneau and no liner, just a bed mat, and everything stays completely dry. I had never thought of moisture getting under the sprayed in liner... good point
