Remote entry/start transmitter
Hi All, Just another question that my local dealer can't seem to answer. Does anyone know if Ford makes a singe remote that can handle the keyless entry and the remote start functions on an 03 F250 ? Remote start and keyless entry are both oem units. Any info would be great - Thanks in advance

Maybe the F250's are different, but I have an F150 with a Ford Gold remote start/security system, purchased at my Ford dealer and installed by me. One reason I bought Ford was to avoid carrying two remotes. The new remote does everything the old one did plus the new features. I did have to buy a separate PATS adapter module, which plugged into the system and included a ring antenna that mounts around the ignition switch.
Incidentally, the old remote still works as before, but, of course, it cannot set or release the alarm or remote start the truck. I give it when in for service, figuring that lessens the chance of someone duplicating my security code. The new remote apparently is a different RF/code.
