I've been using them for 2 years. They rub the sway bars near full steering lock. No big deal.

With a 31x10.5, it will depend a lot on the individual truck and the individual tire+rim combination. I've swapped the 31x10.5 (on 7.5" rims I think) from my Explorer onto my BII, and they didn't rub too bad. The 31x10.5 spare from my Explorer, though (on 6.5" rim) is significantly taller than the 31x10.5 that are normally on there and would rub a lot. Before going that big, I'd at least try to get the tire shop to give me a "test fit" period so I could bring them back for the next size smaller if they rubbed too bad.
