honestly, be careful kicking up water... if your intake sucks it in you could end up with problems..... i have heard a few horror storys regarding water taken through the intake leading to bent rods... which ford will not warranty if they can figure out you took a "water" hole too quickly.

Driving through puddles shouldn't hurt anything. You'd have to slam into a small pond to start breaking stuff IMO.
i like hitting puddles too..... they hear me coming, then look and point, next thing ya know i am laughing my *** off seeing them all wet and muddy from the puddle they were standing next too..... all worth buying an engine in my opinion!!!
i seen a guy on a bicycle try to avoid a water hole in the side walk and when he went into the grass and the fron wheel sank and he flipped over the handle bars into the mud puddle!!!
