I'm guessing by saying 700watt you mean the KFC-W3005. That number is irrelevant because it's the peak power. The RMS rating for those subs is 35-350 watts. you need to find an amp that has an RMS rating towards the higher end of that range (350). your cheapest route would be to find a mono amp and wire the speakers parallel for a 2-ohm load. I don't want to name specific brands because that always leads to everyone saying which is better. The key things to look at is RMS rating, not peak power. also look at THD, the lower the number the better! and when comparing powers, take a look at what voltage it is rated at. most now are rated at 14.4volts or something close to that. If an amp was rated at 12.6 or 13.8 it could possibly show a lower RMS rating, but actually be more powerful!
also, go with a reputable company and not like road gear or legacy or something like that. i would suggest something like the crunch p125.4 it is 500x2 at 4 ohms rms and that would be just about right. it shouldn't blow it so long as you don't turn the radio completely up. i know you might be thinking these subs are only rated for 350 watts but what destroys most subs is the distortion, so its good to go a little over. this will also give you a cleaner sound and will hit alot harder
Crunch IS on the same level as Legacy and Pyramid. Its junk, and id quit telling people to buy it. It will do in a pinch, yes, but i wouldnt run around recommending.
Right here right now, i challenge ANYONE, to say different.
THis goes as well for:
Sony
Kenwood (amps and subs)
Pioneer (amps and subs)
Lightening Audio (RF junk)
Rockford Punch
Legacy
Road Gear
Power Acoustik
Kole
and about 10 others i cant think of on he spot. They all fall shorty of advertised ratings, have higher than average failure rate, and use substandard components inside. There was a reason you got a deal on the crunch.
i have never had a problem with crunch and i love it. it performs when i need it to and it sounds good. i think you just don't know what you are talking about.
Most the time "advertised ratings" are peak power ratings, which tell you absolutely nothing as far as the amp is concerned. Yes, most companies are jumping on that bandwagon of listing peak powers on the amps and all.
I agree with you about those brands you mentioned. I will say though that Rockford's old amps were of good quality. I wished they never would have jumped on the bandwagon of mass distribution, but I guess they make more money that way. Rockford used to rate their amps with "competition standard" back when they could compete (and win). (punch 100, 200, 500, 1000). They still have some good amps, but not in the $100-$300 range. I remember back then even JL couldnt beat them in competitions. But look now, JL makes the good quality amps and subs. And there are alot out there now that do. Image dynamics another good one.
Bill im not busting your ***** really, i just keep seeing it come up and i cant sit on my hands anymore. This section is long overdue for a whats what post from someone as in to car audio as most in here are with their truck.
Some just need some tunes. Some are asking the right questions in the wrong arena. SOme guys DO have the cash to step above "bang for the buck". You only have to please Bill, noone else, but this amp will NOT work for all in all applications, and its overrated specs will tempt many to adjust the gain to make up for what isnt there.
I myself am almost done with a "budget build", but theres a difference. Ive been doing this long enough to know whats what, where to find it, and how to get it as cheaply as possible, and if you ask.......i could tell you how as well.
JCclark.....PPI is another old school bad boy that went to crap. (I still have a PPI art) Im no JL fanboy, but i do love everything they have. I have run much of there line. Kinda expensive retail, but deal can be found for anything so......
Other brands i like include US Amps Arc CDT Resonant elemental onyx Adire Inhuman Alpine Aura and some i could never afford like some of the new Zapcos and Sinfoni.
Not exactly your run of the mill CC, BB, or Walmart brands. The only commercialzed brand worth a damn across the board IMO is JL.

yep. Throw in Kenford, Rockwood, Jensen, and DHD. Pioneer's Premier line of amps is outstanding, though. The TSW line of budget subs are passable, too...
Juggalo4life you'll need to give us the vc configuration on those subs to get accurate amp reccomendations. Are they dual 2 ohm, dual 4 ohm, or single 4 ohm?
Here are the "stats" for a 12" sub I'm thinkin about getting. Actually, I'm thinking about getting 2 of them. Do these sound good, and what size amp would I need to run 2 of these? thanks for any help. five-sided polypropylene cone
rubber surround

power range 90-350 watts RMS
peak power handling 1200 watts
