How many months do you have?

I can suggest you do a search (Google will work fine) and read - read - read.

What kind of information are you after?

Technical specs
Modifications
Potential Power development
R&D leading up to the design
Driving experiences
Maintenance Tips
Repair Tips
Statistics about longevity, drivability, maintenance costs

Just an observation (and not being a smart alec) but part of the reason you are doing a research paper is to learn how to do research.

C'mon, Dave! Part of doing research is to gather information from experts on the subject, and that's exactly what they're doing.

Seriously, though, let us know what you want to know. If you want general information, click here. Prepare yourself, it'll take a while to read all this...

Good luck.

Well, there are 3 different versions of the 7.3. the first version, non-turbo, up til 94.5, then 7.3 with a turbo, but no intercooler, till 99, then your have the Powerstroke 7.3, turbo with an intercooler. The 7.3 series has always been teemed with a 4r100, which is basicly a E4OD. The glowplugs are jummed under the valve covers. Some came with Cats in the late 90's, who knows why. The 7.3 is build by international, international's name for it is the navastar. The 7.3 has recently been discontinued, because of the new 04 EPA regs, now the 6.0 has come out. These engines are very upgradable.
