Expedition HELP??!?!?!
I need some help. I have a 1999 Expedition w/ the 5.4L triton eng. Two days ago after a hard rain I got into my truck to drive home from work. On the way home she started acting funny. If I would press on the gas the truck would make a weird engine noise and poor response. I pulled off the road to see what was going on. I would put it in park and press the gas pedal, she reved fine. As soon as I started driving again same thing... This time I pulled over again left it in Drive and pressed the brake and gas the noise and hesitation came back. I do have a check engine light on. I asked a few local mechanics’ they both told me could be the spark plugs or wires.. not to sure that's the case. Can someone give me some ideas as to what I can do with out having to take her to the dealer.
