I just had my #3 coil pac replaced at 33,000 miles after the check engine lite came on and the truck ran real sluggish and rough. The dealer said moisture ruined the cop.
Can I spray wd-40 or something on thes coil pacs to keep from having these problems??
I am only a little tool friendly and I am disabled. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks philipk
About the only thing that I would suggest is to use that ignition sealer spray. It is available at most parts houses. Moisture really shouldn't get in there, so make sure that the hood is closed and meets up good with the seals, don't wash the engine, and try not to drive thru any lakes or rivers
Thanks for the reply Jimmy. My truck is pretty much babied as my situation permits me from really doing any serious wheeling. I have rinsed off the engine once but I will never ever do it again after reading the forum articles. Thanks again.
