Well, I have been visiting here for a few days now to gather some information, but had not posted till now. I just placed my order for a 250, so I guess now I qualify (?)
I have had several 150's over the years, but this is my first SD.
Greetings to all..... I promise not to wipe the mud off my feet before I come in!

Now! Now! Rich, Not everyone with an Xcursion wants to make it into a superduty wannabe. I could have bought a superduty.. But with the X I have the comfort and luxury of an SUV body and the REAL truck suspension and performance of a superduty.
I hope Monsta buy's a superduty and puts his old excursion grill in it! That might stir up people and pump some life into the 'excursion forum'. Then maybe I would'nt have to gravitate over to the superduty forum to have a little fun.

Howdy!
Thanks folks.
I already know what my first mod is going to be..... moving stuff around in my garage so I can get the thing in and close the door!
I noticed that a couple of the 250's the dealer had on the lot had Mich's, and the rest Firestones. I tried my best to get my dealer to find SOME way to request the Mich's. No luck.
I just couldn't find one the way I wanted it on the lots, so I had to order it. So, I have 4-6 weeks to wait.
Can anybody tell me what the biggest tire size I can fit on the factory Lariat rims, and without a lift? Maybe I should make that another post...... we'll see what happens here...

Forget requesting the Michelins from the factory. Instead, make your dealer give you an allowance for the stock Firejunk and have them put the Mich's on before you drive it off the lot. (my dealer gave me $90.00 ea. for the stock rubberjunk). They want to make the sale! You have the leverage BEFORE you pay!

You can fit 285's on the stock rim according to the "experts' (not me) here:-X11 The only "E" rated 285 is from Interco (trxus (3700+lbs SRW load rating)) for hauling heavy loads. The others are "D" rated.
Go with the Mich LTX M/S. 265/75r/16 Good quiet ride and long wearing and great load hauling ability.
