BOJO should have the correct order if it's a 351w (13726548). The last guy that removed the dist cap may have rotated it 180 degrees. So just take the cap off, rotate it 180 degrees, clamp it back down and start from #1. If someone has replace the engine with a 302 the firing order is 15426378. Rotate the cap and do the same thing. The Pistons go, from the front passenger side 1234 to the rear and the driver side 5678. While your at it, may as well check the electrodes on the cap (also check for cracks in the plastic) and the rotor. The rotor will only go on one way. Let us know what fixed it. Now that I think about it, the cap should not fit at 180 degrees out??? Is your coil wire still connected good on both ends? Check to make sure no vacuum hoses got pulled off or broke.

The cap will fit at 180 degrees off. It would still work, except that if you didn't know that it was 180 degrees off and used the cap's number one marker to start your firing order, it would be off by 180 degrees. I fixed a car that someone had just tuned up and did that very thing. The car still ran but had no power.

just to clarify.....

two of the tips on top are the same size but the plastic the tip sits on is a little wider right? cause the tip isnt wider then the other one ontop on the low one is wider thats how mine is also with the wide low one right next to one of the small ones on top....its kinda confusing so im tyring to make this make sence to you,lol....and which wide one do i point at #1 the one on top or next to the otherone...i know we are on the same engine here cause the low wide one is lined up across from the small one ontop like you were saying....whew!! thats a tongue twister there..i bet you cant say that 10 times fast,lol...

thanks again
