rear roll pan

I'm about ready to order up a rear roll pan for my 65 F250, so I'm checking out the back of my truck when I realize, once it's welded on, I don't believe I'll be able to access the lower bolts that mount the tailgate ever again. (?) What's the deal with that?

So now I'm thinking maybe rivets and some tabs in the corners so I can take it off someday if necessary.

Anybody got any advice?

I would think you should be able to get to the tail gate mounting bottem bolts from under the truck , but if you wanted to i think you could come up with brackets to mount it.

If the roll pan goes where I think it goes, there isn't a straight line to the bolts no more, or even room to stick a ratchet up in there. It'd take a wrench with an angle in the middle of it to get near it. Well now there's a solution. I'll cut up a wrench and make one!

Sounds like you are on the right track , is each end of it box or closed in you may of cuting a hole to get back to those bolts later because if welded in place you would never see the holes.
