Ford does not have the indash unit available any more. A salvage yard is about the only option. When you go get the entire insturment cluster because the wiring is in the truck for the tach but the insturment cluster does not have the printed circuit on the back for the tach. After you get the cluster pull your speedometer unit off your cluster and install it in the one with the tach.
The plug that goes in the back of the insturment cluster does have all the wires to make it work.
I just did my 86 F250 a month ago. Gave 50 dollars for the complete instument cluster at a salvage yard.
