TPS Adjustment

How do you adjust the TPS sensor on a 87 2.9L V6

The Haynes manual says not to do it without special calibration tools. Not sure what tools are required.

On the 2.9 it's not adjustable, just screw it in place and your done.

on my cousins 87 2.9, we took off the sensor and put it back on and now when we do a code test it says "throttle position out of self test range"

I know it wasn't adjustable on my 1989, does yours have slots were the screws attach it?

Mine does not have slots on it, but the screw holes are a little larger so it will move around a little.
