I was bored this morning so I visited my local ford dealer to look over the 02s, just to see if there were any big changes, also because some people here were talking about the track bar being a little less heavy duty.
I have to tell ya, Im wondering what ford was thinking with this track bar change. It looks like a tooth pick compared to the 99 - 01's.
I thought the purpose of a SD was to be heavy duty, why would they go backwars on something like this?
I was looking at a 02 f350 in black, ex cab with leather
Shouldn't everybody own 3 SD's???
My wife thinks not, when I mentioned it, she became very quiet, waiting for me to say "I'm only joking" , needless to say, I didn't and now she's a little cold to me.:-X23
I have only had my 250 since October and my 99 350 for a year and a few months. I don't think I'm gonna push her on this one, it could lead to BAD things!!.
I Looked under a old 60's Bronco today and it had a thicker track bar than even last years superdutys. :-X23 now thats pretty bad. now am I the only one here that has bent their track bar?
we'll i have to tell you guys, you brought up an interesting comment because i am lifting my 02 cc in a week and wanted to know what trac bar i had.so i crawled underneath and measured it.i have a 1" bar.i belive you once wrote this was a mid-year change.i bought my truck in november.i guess i made the cut off? i'll post anything that poses an issue to me once lifted.

I have a 2002 F-350 CC 424 SB. It was delivered last month and I checked and unfortunately it has the 3/4" track bar! I guess I'll have to replace that as well when I install my lift in a month or so.
