I changed my wipers the other day,(er, month), and noticed that the driver's side wiper misses about 6" in the full up position. Now thanks to the technology and ingredients added to rain and road grime, I can see where the blade used to extend to, and where is extends to now. It's about a 2" difference.
Is there any way to tweak the full extend position, or something to that effect? Did I make any sense?
What size blades did you put on? I'm having a similar problem. I put 22 inch blades on and I'm having the same problem on the driver side only. I heard that you can go as big as 24 inch on the driver side and 22 inch on the passenger side. I think that may be the answer you our problem.

If so, does the driver's side wiper sit unusually low when the wipers are in the parked position? Perhaps you moved the wiper arm down a bit when you put the new blades on. It's possible if the nut holding the windshield wiper pivot arm to the motor linkage is even slightly loose.
Here are Ford's recommendations for the distance from the center of a parked wiper blade to the bottom of the windshield glass:
Driver's side: 1.7 to 3.0 inches
Passenger side: 2.6 to 3.7 inches.
The recommended torque for tightening the windshield wiper pivot arm nut (hidden under the plastic cap at the base of each arm) is 23-29 lb/ft.
Being tall, I like to see out of the winshield near the top and next to the driver's side A pillar so I repositioned my wipers so the driver's blade misses the pillar by 1" at full swing. Remove plastic cap, loosen nut, lift up and rotate arm a litte higher, Set down firmly, tighten hut replaace cap. Five minutes of more Ford Fun!
