Performance Chips for 5.0L

Performance Chips for 5.0L
Anyone have any experience(good or bad) with SuperChip, Diablo or other brands? I am running a stock 1988 F250 5.0L with manual trans. I like the idea of a 10 - 20% power gain but would I have to run premium fuel? Or any other inexpensive alternatives to a chip that may boost my power?

Ain't no such thing as a 20% power gain with a gas chip on a naturally aspirated engine unless there is something seriously wrong with the existing tune. Yes, you have to run premium. Count on about 8% for an 88.
