more power from a 460?
Hi guys,
I just upgraded from a '90 f-250 4x4 with a worn 302 to a '91 f-250 with a 460. While the 460 I now have seems to be in good shape and makes good power I could always use more! My father who also has a 460 told me he once heard of certain specs you could have your heads ported/polished/modified to and get around 300 horse and way better gas mileage. Do any of you have any info about this? Or any other simple power improvements for this motor. We put an adjustable timing kit in my fathers truck but the gains were fairly small especially since it now only runs well on premium fuel. Any tips/tricks would be appreciated.
