What we say has very little value. If you want a solid value take it to a couple of professional vehicle appraisers. They know exactly what to look for and can give an accurate value. We can only give wild guesses. The appraiser can see oil leaks, smoke, bad paint, rust, hear noises, etc etc...
Not trying to insult you if this does, but looks like a $5000-$7000 truck. Very nice looking, but then again I'm thinking its got a few problems and so fourth. Get some more interior pics, and underside pic and I could guess a little better. -4speed
is that the guy that has all the old cars on the east side of the interstate south side of town?? just curious my grandmother lives in wheatland and i drive up that way alot
The quoted book values and appraisel values seem to be higher that what the trucks will actually bring. I go more on my own research like ebay sales ( usually a little low) Asking prices in the autotrader (usually high) for your region. Originality is a big plus. Just like they say on the Corvettes, a modified vehicle is valued the same as a damaged one. Of course upgrades like disc brakes won't devalue but faddish paint jobs or even paint of a nonoriginal color may turn off some buyers. It may turn your crank to have 100 watt speakers hacked into the door but many buyers will see that as a negative. I have seen some really nice 67-72 highboys on ebay including one with 12,000 original miles from a fire department. $5-6000 will buy the best of them usually. It is usually difficult to recuperate any money spent on modifications or high performance stuff
