Talking First Time Power Stroke Owner

Just purchased a 2004 F250 Power Stroke Diesel Harley-Davidson truck, My first ever Diesel. My wife insisted that I get it for my birthday (44th), is she the greatest or what?? This thing is so awesome I don't know where to begin. Since I never owned a Ford diesel I plan on spending some time on this forum to get up to speed.

The only immediate question I had is the alarm. I know it comes with the passive alarm as far as anyone trying to steal it without the key FOB. I did not get the add-on horn-honking, lights flashing option. Those things go off all over town and I really don't think anyone even cares when they hear one anymore. Any reason I should consider it?? Sometime at our deer lease we can be a good way away from our vehicles, but have never had any problems. Thoughts from anyone??

You goofed up - XL's are for huntin', Harleys are for leaving out in front of the house so all the guys in the neighborhood have something to drool over or goin' to the opera. You gonna have to get a beater for the real truck work. I wouldn't leave it anywhere you feel like you wish you had a functional alarm system. They are pretty.

Congrats, The HD is a sweet looking truck! Welcome to FTE. Post your questions in the diesel forum, you will most likely get a better response.
