460 supercharger??

I have looked around, briefly, for a twin screw supercharger that works with an early 90's 460.SuperchargersOnline.com I saw that Paxton make a charger but it's not a screw type. Are there any manufatures that make chargers for the 460?

Thanks friends

BDS (Blower Drive Services) makes a traditonal blower setup and you can also get fuel injection for it. You do require deep pockets though.

I don't know if I'm more impressed by the blower or by the how high that bumper is off on the right.:-staun

That's exactly what I'd like to build for my truck, when I get enough money together. Will look great sticking out of my hood. Ahh . . . patience!

There is one drawback with "stuff" sticking through the hood.

Cops see it, and depending where you live, might start to routinely annoy you.

Also, every 20 y/o with a "kewl dood" camaro, transam, mustang, or import with a 10" high spoiler, is going to challenge you at traffic lights.

Which is fine, except remember your truck weighs a lot more than any of the above cars...

But I'm biased, I like to build "sleepers".

Imagine the looks on some kid with a spanking new Cobra when ya leave him in the dust with a front-wheel drive, four door Continental!

Its my favorite look

Though not everyone drives around at night with slicks on the front of the car either. heh-heh

Fred,

That's going to be an awesome truck, which block did you use to get the big cubic inches? The A460 or the old B600? 8-71 or 10-71 blower? Please keep us posted on your progress. Thanks for the pics.

John.

This session, we are going with an A460 just to accomidate the huge stroke we are trying to accomplish. And that polished monster is a BDS Stage 4 14-71. Currently it is set up for gas, but because I am switching back to cast heads, I am also switching to alcohol (cheaper, burns cooler..and makes me cry!) just to get past all the emmission crap.
Right now, everything is on hold, as I had to move and the new (28yrs) house only has a single garage but plans are in the works to add 31'x28'to it.

Will stay in touch,
Fred

For some reason, unknown to me, admin has shut down my gallery to public view. The official wording was the gallery is for Ford trucks, so I guess my 1954 Mercury, which is in pieces, does not qualify because it isn't running maybe? Anyways, here is a pic of the 525, which is being replaced with the 668
