I recently purchased my truck and didn't do enough checking so here is my problem.
It has a aftermarket alarm system that works great,as a matter of fact it works so great when i was checking the truck out i set it off many times before i cut the speaker wire.My problem is the door lock on the drivers side works great but passenger side doesn't work with either button. The power mirror works on the drivers side but not on the passengers side.Anybody have any clues as to what to check, and yes i have checked the fuses and no i don't know exactly how the door panel comes off without tearing it up.It also has cruise control and i'm wondering if there should be a light on the dash for it when it's on.Any help is appriciated and i have a book on order.
Thanks.
It's a 94 ranger X cab 4.0 /automatic 2whl drive,seems like a nice lil truck.

Because both the door lock and the power mirror have quit working on the passanger side, I would start by checking the wire harness that feeds the door. I have seen them get pinched and cut the wires.
At the beginning of this board, there's a sticky called "Technical Information" that has info on removing the door panel.
I agree with h20s50 about checking the wiring. Yours won't be the first truck with that problem.

Well, since wife's taurus has a light and my dodge has one of those to i guess i can drill a hole somewhere and put a light on my ranger ?.
