soft bed covers

anyone have a tonna (sp?) cover on a long bed truck with a toolbox on it? will a short bed cover fit?

The tool box would have to be the same depth as the difference in bed lenths. What is that, 18"? I'd think you should be able to find a tool box that's that depth. If you found a toolbox you like, but it's narrower than that, you could always skooch the toolbox back a skosh to match up to the tonneau, and leave a small gap in front of the toolbox.
Just an idea.

as far as soft covers go do not by the" lund elite" hook and loop model as i have said before it sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!
