Keyless entry, remote start question

About a year ago, we had a FORD keyless entry, remote start, and security system installed on our 2001 F-150 SuperCrew 4 X 4.

It works great!!!!!!!!!!!

The question is this:

Even though we leave the heater controls set, etc. the system will not/does not let the heater work, UNTIL you put the key in the ignition, and turn the key.

Is this thing hooked up right ??

(I just started driving the truck, because it was my wife's truck), so I didn't realize it/know it until now.

Thanx,

Congrats on the 100 posts

Nope your remote starter isnt wired right. The heater should come on when the truck starts. It sounds like they have the remote starter's accessory wired tapped into the wrong wire on the ignition switch.
