I have a 351 that burnt up a valve, and I was going to pretty much go ahead and have the heads completely redone. I am sure you all are not machinest by trade, but How much would you pay for a head job and a 3 angle valve job.
well I had a 3 angle v-job, shaved the heads .030 thousands, new stanless valves, new guides, high performance double v-springs, keepers, seats, and cleaned up my exhaust ports (took any bures off and rough edges)
My machine shop charged me 500 bucks, but it I can tell alot on preformance wise.. I didnt think I would be able to tell that much but it has alot more pull out of the hole
i saw the $500 figure and thought you got hosed a bit, then i read the post. you hosed them pretty good! they must work for free if you got ss valves, guides and springs INSTALLED for a nickel! good play!
