Started the truck last week as usual then it died. checked the oil rails with a gauge. no pressure. then checked the oil resivoir with another gauge, no pressure. hooked up to a computer and it told me no icp pressure. what is going on... shouldn't there be pressure/oil in the resivoir. is there an oil diagram that anyone knows of? has anyone had this problem. I pulled the ipr sensor and resealed it with the kit from ford, had that blow last year. can anyone point me in a direction to diagnose this issue. fuel is fine, no smoke at all out the pipe. cranking speed fine cps works fine. plenty of oil on the stick. have a snap on computer and plenty of gauges/ tools etc. any help greatly appr. thanks.
Ok do what cookie88 said. If it cranks the your HPO system is leaking down. Most likely cause is the pump itself, other causes could be inj o-rings or HP lines. One thing to remember, you will not have any ICP ( injection control pressure) if you do not have any oil pressure. Make sure you have engine oil pressure.
A tell tale sign of the O rings leaking is oil in the galley. Check to see if you are leaking any oil, if you are than more than likely thats the problem. hope this helps.
