Some simple questions....
I just drove my "new" 86 f350 crew cab dually home, about 1100 miles. Good trip, ran great (besides having to replace the alternator on the road) and now im going through the truck trying to square away some small problems (i hope.)
Ive pressure washed the under carriage already and cant find any rust besides some very slight surface spotting, no other real problems besides having to replace the windshield (done,fyi- the replacement ones vin cut outs in the tinting dont line up). the 460 runs excellant on gas, good tranny with dual coolers, a/c works great, upholstery needs cleaning but is in good shape, even the radios good. nice extras too, brush gaurd up front, h/d chrome rear bumper, goose neck hitch, running lights and full length running boards (diamond plate, how do you polish those??)
Ive got some holes in the muffler, and when i looked at it , i noticed its HUGE!!. like three feet long, is this normal? this is my first full sized truck, so please excuse my ignorance. theres an lpg system installed in the truck as well (which isnt working, need to figure that out too) but i was curious if the very large muffler is par for the course or something unusual..economical replacement recomendations would be appreciated as well.
any insight is appreciated,
thanks in advance,,
