Predator no starts?
My pops and I installed boost/EGT(preturbo)/volt guages on his 03 F350 with 7.3L 2 weeks ago. We monitored factory temps and boost levels for a week and then installed the predator with the 60hp tune. It offered a very notable difference in power, esp. going up hills with the cruise on, keeping EGT around 900-1000. Boost levels increased to 25psi when "getting on it". The only problems is that it doesnt start in 15 degree weather if left unplugged for about 8 hrs. after being fully warmed up. We left it plugged in overnight all week(no problems), but 3 out of 5 evenings it wouldnt start to go home. It has been just as cold as its been for a month now, and we find it strang that now it has a problem. To start it, we just plugged it in for 20 mins. (which doesnt seem long enough) and it ran, but kinda rough and smokey, maybe alittle flooded? But anyways, we reset the factory tune yesterday to see if it would run at the end of the day. Anyone have any ideas on whats going on? THanks

I have the very same thing happen to my 02. The first predator i bought was without the 100 hp? this predator worked fine. When the new program came out(100 hp) I sent it in for upgrade, got it back and installed a program. Next morning the truck didnt start unless i pluged it in. Took the truck to the dealer(after uninstalling predator) they had my truck for 10 days. They finially put new control modual in and truck was fine. In the mean time i sent the predator back to company. They sent me a brand new one, i installed it, and next morning wouldnt strat. Thats where i am now. Truck dont start and it says threw trouble codes that my glow plug heater doest work. I dont think thats the problem. The truck doest even smoke while tring to start. i think Diablosport has a problem with their product. Will be calling them Monday to try to figure out whats going on. I will give you a number to call and ask for Brian, he is working with me on this problem. Well so far the truck has been starting with the factory tune, but it has a big difference in performance, so my dad is figuring that we will keep it and install once the temps warm up. If the block heater was on, it started fine. We were wondering if the coolant temp sensor had problems with the different program, but who knows. When the truck ran, it was great, so i dont know if i want to send it back, since some people have had problems with reprogrammed Predators. Although your garage was warm, that seems like a different problem then what i have. The truck didnt show any codes and ran fine once it started.

Stangman, thanks for the info. I ordered the Diablo Saturday, but changed my order this morning to the Superchips. I live in a cold area (below 20 degrees for about 3 weeks now), so I don't need those problems.

I just got phone with Diablosports they cant figure it out why truck doesnt start.I Will be sending the computer out of the truck and the predator in so they can check everything out. Will keep you all informed.
