How hot should the air pump on an '85 f-150 get? I reached across it to put the breather tube back in the valve cover and brushed it with my arm. I started doing a dance that looked like something out of a National Geographic documentary about primitive tribes of (insert place here).
Now I have a big welt and a blister across my wrist that doesn't feel particularily nice. I don't imagine it's supposed to get that hot, so I have to ask. It doesn't make any funny noises like a bad bearing or anything, so is this normal or is it time to throw the pump away?
